The Whistler Investment Group, LLC, began as a Raleigh, NC-based homebuilding and land development company in 1981. At that time, the company helped pioneer the philosophy of development with strict respect for the surrounding environment, including wetlands and timberlands. Because of such innovative thinking, Mark Tipton, founder and CEO of The Whistler Group, quickly propelled his company to national acclaim. Tipton also served on the National Housing Board; conferred with four U. S. Presidents and their administrations; served as CEO of Smart House, which initiated the idea of complete home automation; and was named to the National Housing Hall of Fame. Today, The Whistler Group continues to pride itself on incorporating Nature into its development projects while still maintaining the integrity of the natural area.
