Where Time is Yours for the Spending

Whether you want to spend your entire day lounging on the beach, walking among the shells, kayaking through the waves, or searching for the perfect conch, this is what life is all about. Dolphin-watching, Loggerhead turtle spotting, crabbing and fishing—it’s all here at Indian Beach. And when it’s time to go in? Still, there are so many more things to see, to do, to experience.

You can meander through the sprinkling of coastal villages; savor the variety of area restaurants; tour the NC Aquarium and Maritime Museum; take in the Tall Ships, weekend festivals, and go antique shopping. Or you can just play—choose the sound, ocean, or Intracoastal Waterway—and speedboat, sail, jet ski, kayak, parasail and fish offshore to your heart’s content. Search for pirates and centuries of history in Morehead City and Beaufort, revisit Revolutionary War times, learn about Fort Macon and its Civil War soldiers, or ferry to Shackleford Island to search for wild ponies (but don’t forget to climb the dunes for a better view).

Here on the Crystal Coast, there’s never a dull moment. Until you want there to be, and then there are plenty.
