The Maritime Museum
Along the Sea
From interpretive exhibits and natural history of the area to the beginnings of the U. S. Coast Guard, the Maritime Museum in Beaufort provides both entertainment and education for all ages. Explore the history and passionate craft of boat-making, experience the thrill of submerging in an old-fashioned diving bell, imagine the life of a 1900’s life-saving guard and even gasp at the actual vessel once used to save victims of sinking ships.
